Answer- There are several ways or mediums through which diseases could be transmitted. Some of the disease transmission modes with examples are as follows:
(a) Some diseases are contagious and spread by contact. One of the examples of contagious diseases is leprosy.
(b) Some diseases are spread by ingestion of contaminated food and water. Cholera is one example of a disease that is spread by ingestion of contaminated food and water.
(c) Some diseases are spread through the medium of carrier hosts or vectors. Malaria is one example of a disease that spreads through the medium of carrier hosts or vectors.
(d) Some diseases are spread by animal bites. One of the examples of animal bite spread is rabies.
(e) Some diseases are spread by inhaling air containing infectious germs or microbial cysts. Tuberculosis is one example of a disease that is spread by inhaling air that contains infectious microbes or microbial cysts.
(f) Some diseases are spread by germs that enter the body through wounds. Tetanus is one example of a disease that is spread by microbes entering the body through injury.
