Q- How is artificial breeding more advantageous than natural breeding in cattle?
Answer- In cattle the breeding is done to improve their characters and quality. The breeding in cattle is done for many motives such as to increase milk production, disease as well as pests resistance e.t.c. .
There are mainly two ways of cattle breeding:
1. Natural breeding
2. Artificial breeding
From both of these methods of breeding in cattle. The most successful and effective method is artificial breeding. There are several reasons why artificial breeding is better than natural breeding. Some of the reasons behind it are as follows:
1. Artificial breeding do not require do not require large quantity of semen for breeding as about 300 cows can be inseminated by semen of a bull.
2. Artificial breeding do not require transportation of animal.
3. In Artificial breeding the semen can be stored for later use but in natural breeding it is not possible.
