Answer- 

(a) Jawaharlal Nehru wants to convey that a long time ago we had taken a pledge to assure India and its people of freedom and Independence. He told that the time has come to redeem that pledge even if we are not able to do it completely fulfill that pledge, it needs to be done substantially.

(b) Jawaharlal Nehru wants the makers to take the pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people and to the larger cause of humanity.

(c) “The ambition of the greatest man of our generation has been to wipe every tear from every eye”. In this statement he word is used to refer Father of Indian Nation (Mahatma Gandhi).
