Answer- There are mainly two types of protective tissues of plants. These are as follows:

1. Epidermis

2. Cork

Epidermis forms the outer most covering of the plant. Its main role is to provide cover to all other inner parts of plant and tree. 

Cork is the outer hardest layer of trees that is consisted of dead cells. This layer is enough hard to prevent inner parts of plant from any kind of external injury.
