Q- What do you mean by meristem?
Answer- Meristem are the tissues that have division power. These tissues help in growth of plant and tree.
On the basis of position meristematic tissues are of three types. These are as follows:
1. Apical meristem
2. Intercalary meristem
3. Lateral meristem
Meristematic tissues are found at the growing regions of the plant or tree such as root apex, shoot apex as well as cambium.
