Q- What is an Election Commission? Who appoints the Chief Election Commissioner and how can he/she be removed?

Answer- Election Commission is an Independent authority of India whose function is to held election in a free and fair manner. This authority keeps watch on election whether there should be no use of unfair means and malpractices in elections. During election there is no control of government over officers instead of it Election Commission had full control on all government officers. 

The Chief Election Commissioner was appointed by president of India. Once he/she was appointed so no one can remove him, from that post. During elections he/she ordered government to follow some guidelines to hold the elections in free and fair manner.
