4 essential tips for blogging consistently and successfully:
A consistent blog is the key to success on your blog. However, life is full of surprises that can sometimes prevent you from blogging as often as you want. With these 4 tips, you can achieve a consistent blogging schedule to help you gain more readers and make more money from your blog.
1. Write a list of topics:
Coming up with a topic can be one of the things that can stop you in your tracks. When you write a list of topics you want to write about, you know exactly what you’re going to write just by looking at your article. Plus, when you keep a list of topics to write about, you can see what you’ve already written so you don’t have multiple blog entries on the same thing. (Or you can at least express them differently to avoid duplicate content.)
2. The buffer zone:
Life gets hectic. It’s a fact that most of us live on a daily basis. Things happen at some point, and that doesn’t always leave time for blogging. When you have a buffer zone where you keep pre-written blog entries, you can simply cut and paste the blog entry into your blog with a few mouse clicks. It helps you maintain consistency without having to write literally EVERY day.
Take your list of topics and pre-write a few entries. Write as many as possible. Then keep a file on your desktop called “Blog Posts” or something that makes sense to you. Then, once you’re faced with a shortage of time, you’ll have a buffer of entries that you can post to keep your schedule going.
3. Use your downtime:
Determine a time of the week that works for writing a few blog entries to add to your buffer zone. If it’s Sunday afternoon before dinner, always try to write at least one or two entries for the week at that time. Then if another day you’re just sitting there watching TV after work, write down a few more. Once you get into the habit of doing this, you will get faster. Use your free time to write. So when things happen that are wasting your time, you have a buffer zone full of easy-to-post entries on your blog.
4. Create the habit:
Creating the habit of writing on a consistent basis is probably the hardest and most important step in achieving a consistent blogging schedule. That’s why I recommend a specific time each week to write a few entries if possible. Once you get used to it, you’ll just start doing it on autopilot and you won’t even think about it. Good habits are what it takes to be successful.
5. The shortcut:
I didn’t mention the fifth tip, did I? The reason is that this isn’t really a writing tip, but rather an easy way to do it. This simple method involves hiring a ghost writer to take care of your blogging needs. Give them your list of topics or let them create their own. If they are good at what they do, they will be able to handle it.
Consistent blogging is the only way to gain readership and propel your blog to the top of the internet heap. With these techniques, you can develop a successful blogging and blogging schedule that will allow you to get your point across, without taking all of your free time.
