Q- How did India aim at self-sufficiency in food grains after Independence?
Answer- After, India got Independence in 1949, the members of National Assembly along with bother important freedom fighter form a constituent assembly to draft a constitution for India. This constitution was made to make India a democratic republic. They adopted all measures to make India self-sufficient.
After making of Indian constitution the next target to make India self-sufficient is to improve the agriculture sector of India. So, after many years ‘Green Revolution’ was introduced to improve quality as well as increase quantity of production of rice and wheat. After the Green Revolution several new farming methods were introduce these increased quality as well as quantity of food grain production. In this way India become success if making India self-sufficient.
