Answer- At the Earlier time, as the Indians were driven out, the white Americans came in successive waves. They started settling in Appalachian plateau and then moved into the Mississippi valley.
They settled there by slash and burn policy as they burn the forests and started living and cultivating in that land.
In this way American Indians were replaced by White Americans.
