Answer- There are several types of vegetation which found in India.

The main six types of vegetation found in India are as follows:

1. Tropical Deciduous Forests

2. Tropical Evergreen Forests

3. Tropical Thorn forests and Scrubs

4. Montane forests

5. Mangrove forests


The vegetation of high altitude is Alpine vegetation which is found in about 3600 metre high. The trees common to these are silver fir, junipers, pines and birches. These are shrubs and scrubs that ultimately merge into Alpine grasslands. Tundra vegetation is limited to Lichens and mosses.
