Q- What are the three dimensions of the food security?

Answer- Food security refers to the state of having reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable nutritious food. In India, there are many people who are food insecure this is because of a large number of people below poverty line. 

Food insecurity is the biggest challenges for developing India. To solve this issue Indian government had launched or introduced several poverty alleviation programs to reduce poverty in India and make people food secure. 

There are three main dimensions of food security. These are as follows:

1. Availability of food: It is the food production within the country including food imports and previous year stock of food in government granaries.


2. Affordability: Affordability means whether the individuals has enough money to buy sufficient and nutritious food.


3. Accessibility: This means that food should be available within reach of every person.
