Q- What are the various activities undertaken in the primary sector, secondary sector and tertiary sector?
Answer- All the economic activities are divided into three main categories:
1. Primary sector:
The primary sector includes all the activities which are extraction of natural resources from nature. Some of the activities of primary sector are as follows:
Agriculture, fishing, hunting, animal rearing, mining, oil extraction e.t.c. .
2. Secondary sector:
The secondary sector involves all the activities which are conversion of raw material into useful products. Some of the activities that are included in secondary sector are as follows:
Making of biscuit from flour, making of table from wood e.t.c. .
3. Tertiary Sector:
The tertiary sector involves all the service providing activities. This sector do not provide any good it only provides service. That is why this sector is also known as Service sector.
Some of the activities of tertiary sector are as follows:
Communication department, banks, customer care e.t.c. .
