Answer- NHRC refers to National Human Rights Commission. National Human Rights Commission is an independent commission of India which was set up in 1993 by the law. This National Human Rights Commission is independent of the government as same as Judiciary in India. This commission was started by the President of India.
This commission includes all retired judges, officers and eminent citizens. It helps to focus on helping the victims to secure their human rights. The National Human Rights Commission NHRC do not have right to punish the guilty as it is the responsibility of the court.
National Human Rights Commission has several powers that are exactly same as the court in India. Some of them are:
