Q- Are these restrictions on the right to freedom justified? Give reason for your answer.

(a) Indian citizens need permission to visit some border areas of the country for reasons of security. 

(b) Outsiders are not allowed to buy property in some areas to protect the interest of the local population.

(c) The government bans the publication of a book that can be against the ruling party in the next elections.

Answer- 

(a) Border is an area which is secured and at risk that is why it needs to be secured so no information, goods and services may enter illegally into the country. To secure border, there should permission required so the security force may examine if whether that person is safe and does not pose a threat to the security of the country. 

(b) The outsiders are not allowed to buy property in some areas to protect the local population from exploitation from majority or other communities. This allows the local population to maintain their cultural and economic heritage. This also is done so that may not be exploited by deforestation or other activities.

(c) The government bans the publication of a book that can be against the ruling party in the next elections because since the government is curbing the freedom of citizens to access information. The ban has been done with bad intent to protect the government.
