Q- State one difference between dug wells and tube wells. Explain two initiatives taken to increase fresh water availability for agriculture.

Answer- Dug wells can take water from ground level but not too deep level of ground water whereas the tube wells can take water from deep ground level. 

There are several measures to increase water availability for agriculture. Some of them are as follows:

1. Do not use excessive water for irrigation and also use drip irrigation method to reduce water wastage.

2. Do not use excessive water in agriculture to increase water table.
