Q- “The Prime Minister is the real executive head of our country.” Elucidate.
Answer- The Prime Minister is the head of the executive of the country as political parties have to play a major role in politics, the Prime Minister controls the Cabinet and the Parliament through the party. In India the President is also the executive head of India but he or she also has to take decision as per the advice of the Prime Minister. The extend of power wielded by a Prime Minister also depends on the personality of the person holding that position. For example Indira Gandhi was a powerful leader compared to his colleagues in the Cabinet.
