Answer- Mandal Commission is a commission which was held to identify or determine the criteria to identify the Socially and Economically backward classes in society. SEBC (Socially and Economically Backward Classes) refers to the people who belongs to casts or class which are considered backward by the government. These class people are weak in society.
The Mandal Commission was held to recommend steps to be taken for the improvement of Socially and Economically backward classes in society.
