Q- Why were the recommendations of Mandal Commission agreed to?
Answer- The recommendations of Mandal Commission agreed as people thought that existence of inequality among people of different castes in India in form of necessitated reservation in jobs. They also felt that this would give a fair opportunity to those communities who so far had not adequately been represented in government employment.
On the other hand there were many people who are against Mandal Commissions recommendations because they have different point of view. They thought that it was unfair as it would deny equality of opportunity to those who did not belongs to backward classes. In this way the people who do not belongs to backward classes would not get job even he/she is more qualified than the person who belongs to backward classes.
