Q- Which do you think is a more basic characteristic for classifying organisms?

Answer- According to me the most basic characteristic for classifying organisms is the second one.
(b) The kind of cells they are made of because the organisms are on the basic of their cell eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. The cells having diffused nucleus are called as prokaryotic cell and the cells having all well defined cell organelles and a true nucleus is called as eukaryotic cell.
