Answer-
(a) Reason behind this above statement is natural intelligence of human body. Human body has a kind of intelligence that is any virus or microbe enters in body. So, immune system of our body started generating antibodies to defense against that virus or microbe. These antibodies are white blood cells. Once our body become successful in defeating any microbe or virus. So it store the DNA structure of that virus or microbe so that in future if same microbe or virus enter in body. So our body start generating antibodies using the DNA structure they had stored earlier. This make it very easy for our body to defeat that microbe or virus again. That is why a person suffering from smallpox cannot suffer from it again. because in this case our body store DNA structure of virus causing smallpox. So in future they can defend against them.
For extra knowledge you should know that smallpox disease was included in category of infectious disease. The viruses that causes smallpox are Variola Major and Variola Minor.
(b) The two diseases that associates with the attack of microbes on the lungs are tuberculosis and pneumonia . The microbes of these two disease targets lungs in human body.
