Answer- GM crop refers to genetically modified crop. These genetically modified crops are developed by introducing of new gene from any other source with target to achieve new desired character. The genetically modification in animals is known as genetic manipulation.
Genetic manipulation is kind of method of ‘recombinant DNA technology’ or ‘genetic engineering’. Genetic manipulation involves the process of transfer of DNA fragments from one organism to another. The organism in which foreign gene is introduced is called as transgenic organism or genetically modified organism.
