Answer- Xylem tissue:
1. Xylem tissue is responsible for upward conduction of water and mineral in plant and tree.
2. Xylem tissue is consisted mainly of three types of cells: Tracheids, vessels, xylem parenchyma and xylem fibre.
3. The conducts upward movement of water and minerals in plant and tree.
4. The movement of xylem is unidirectional.
Phloem tissue:
1. Phloem tissue is responsible for upward conduction of food and nutrients in plant and tree.
2. Phloem tissue is consisted mainly of three types of cells: Sieve tube cells, companion cell, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibre.
3. The conducts upward movement as well as downward movement of food and nutrients in plant and tree.
4. The flow of phloem tissue is bidirectional.
